The Cleveland Punch and Die Company is looking for a full-time CNC Machinist to become an integral member of our team.
CNC machine opportunities include lathes, mills and multi-axis machining centers. Shift hours – 7:00am-3:30pm.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Possess knowledge of CNC programming to carry out the operations needed to manufacture machined products that meet precise specifications.
  • Analyze blueprints to determine proper dimensions and configurations.
  • Select proper cutting tools and machine speed and feed rates according to part specifications and machine capabilities.
  • Create and develop CNC programs, develop tool lists and set-up sheets.
  • Perform startups, shut downs, and material loading.
  • Perform quality checks on in-process parts before and after CNC operation to ensure parts meet specifications prior to leaving workstation.
  • Possess the ability to adjust tool offsets as needed.
  • Perform general machine maintenance by maintaining coolant and oil levels.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all company manufacturing standards, methods and policies.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A full working knowledge of modern CNC equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint dimensions and tolerances.
  • Ability to perform basic shop math.
  • Experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Experience in CNC machine set up and operation.
  • Possess knowledge of cutting tool properties and tool life expectations.
  • Knowledge of fixturing concepts to support conventional machining processes.
  • Must have strong communication skills that build productive relationships with coworkers.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on individual with interest in learning quickly and applying new skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented.

The Cleveland Punch and Die Company is looking for a full-time Shipping Technician to become an integral member of our team. Shift hours – 9:30am-6:00pm.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform packaging and shipping department standard operating procedures.
  • Locate and package inventory items to ensure timely shipment to customers.
  • Operate bagging equipment and fulfill stock inventory requirements.
  • Coordinate LTL shipments and load/unload trailers.
  • Accurately perform basic math calculations.
  • Use UPS and FedEx shipping software to generate shipment documents.
  • Organize and maintain adequate shipping supplies to facilitate processes.
  • Maintain an orderly and organized work area.
  • Perform general warehouse duties.
  • Assist in other areas as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse environment, shipping, logistics, or other related fields.
  • Detail oriented – must handle tasks free of errors.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manual material handling of steel objects in a machine shop environment.
  • Transport material and completed parts to other departments using pallet jacks.
  • Count, sort and process objects in multiple departments.
  • Perform quality checks on in-process parts before and after operation to ensure parts meet specifications prior to leaving workstation.
  • Perform general machine maintenance by maintaining coolant and oil levels.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all company standards, methods and policies.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives that drive to higher customer order fill rate by working with the manufacturing, engineering, and sales team to deliver the greatest potential performance.
  • Schedule production work orders to optimize customer requirements and inventory goals.
  • Analyze new orders, production schedules and promised ship dates to provide timely and accurate delivery reports and statuses.
  • Responsible for maintaining stock inventory levels, min-max levels and re-order points while determining proper job prioritization and production requirements.
  • Develop and utilize continuous improvement methods to increase process yields and improve manufacturing organization and production.
  • Develop technical expertise in a specialized product line.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or pursuit of degree in Supply Chain Management
  • Must have strong communication skills that build productive relationships with coworkers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers as well as in-house sales and engineering teams to produce quotes and proposals that ensure all customer needs are met.
  • Enter and edit sales orders into ERP system while placing strong focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Create and set up new customer accounts by documenting pertinent account information.
  • Create and maintain accurate customer specifications for order entry and quoting.
  • Conduct daily follow up routines on customer inquiries.
  • Work collaboratively with sales and engineering teams to develop specialized technical solutions based on customer’s specific needs.
  • Assist in resolving and clarifying customer discrepancies by determining the cause of the problem and implementing a specified solution.
  • Recommend potential products by collecting specific information and analyzing customer’s needs.
